In the space of a couple of months the world as we knew it changed irrevocably. Modern freedoms we took for granted now seem unfeasible and frankly dangerous. We had to sit home and listen to an endless barrage of depressing news, frightful statistics and a curve that seemed impossible to flatten.

Suddenly all our plans were upended indefinitely. No more road trips through our beautiful country. No more carefree vacations or stopping at a “Padstal” on-route for some last-minute provisions or gifts.

Sadly, many of these small family run businesses we loved and supported for years had to close their doors. Their closure meant that thousands of small batch producers were left without a means of reaching their customers.
